You know, I just got done saying that I didn’t “get” Korean music. Then I actually listened to 4minute’s first mini-album, For Muzik, and realized that I pretty much needed to eat my words. That is NOT a good feeling, especially when you’ve just restarted your blog and have an obsession with getting things “right” so you don’t look like a complete and utter idiot.
But whatever. The album? It’s good. I love the transition between “For Muzik” and “MUZIK” is top-notch, “Hot Issue” grew on me after I got over the namechecking every five seconds, and that song called “Funny”…
Okay, that’s the one that broke me. It’s so. Damn. CATCHY.
ARRRRRRRRRRGH. Sometimes you just can’t help but like what you’re listening to. There’s no reason I should feel guilty or ashamed by this (I mean, “Bo Peep Bo Peep” makes my fiance grimace and make faces, but 4minute’s songs don’t! … yet!) but it’s still a little… weird. I just got done saying “I don’t like kpop” and then a girl group with some rapping broke me. Broke me right in two.
… that … sounds familiar. Wait, wasn’t that how I got into Berryz Koubou?
… Okay. No No more kpop. No more after this. You will NOT break me, South Korea! NEVER!!

After living in Seoul for 2 months last summer and having Kpop shoved in my face wherever I went, I slowly started to really like Korean music. A lot of the idol stuff that’s popular is not good, but Korea has some really good bands and indie groups~
Nell is really, really good! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sef5HkQ6Czw
so I got the impression you didn’t care about getting to know? these girls because their names were so weird and all, but just to let you know, I know most kpop girls’ names
so uh Jiyoon is the hot one. and I’m glad you like them! my favorite track is actually the one after Funny (I Won’t Give). it’s so sweet T_T
